Portfolio updates

Mon, Feb 07, 23:47 | 0 comments

Well, after centuries, I had some time (little) to update my website. Life got a little crazy in these last months: lots of work and new challenges (but about these into a future post).
So, what’s new in portfolio?

The “iPhone” section.

I did a few designs for it. And here they are. I have some more but I don’t like them (too much) to be listed here.

Coming up next: why I quit ExpressionEngine and why WordPress is the new challenge. Stay tuned.

Little updates

I’ve made some time for updating my work section. I will add a new category soon: iPhone App Designs. I have started building some interfaces for iPhone and iPad. So far, so good. There’s no big difference between designing for the web and for the iPhone: you have to keep in mind some sizes, some general guidelines and.. that’s all.
Anyway, I don’t have time to keep this blog updated; actually I don’t have time for any of my blogs. For example, I’m trying since 3 months ago to change the theme of one of my blogs: I designed it, I put it on .html and… no time to implement it on ExpressionEngine. And it’s so simple.

Pure fun with clients

If you are a webdeveloper, this site will make your day. I’ve never read something more funny… trust me, worth wasting some time around it.

Me: “I will create a login box on your website. Once someone registers and logs in, the website will recognize who the user is and provide relevant content.”

Client: “That sounds great. However, instead of a login box Iíd like to use biometrics to identify the user.”

Me: “Not sure what you mean.”

Client: “When someone visits the website, I want them to be able to put their hand on the monitor. The monitor will then scan their hand to confirm who they are. I think that would be a lot more engaging. How much extra would that functionality cost?”

Me: “Several hundred million dollars.”

Client: Why are you being a wiseass? Can you do it or not?

Me: “No. Sorry. Thatís a little too advanced.”

Client: “Fine. Iíll try another web designer.”

You’ll find more here.
